About Us

Dale DeHaan

Dale DeHaan began MI Choice Benefits in 2010 to assist business owners in providing excellent insurance benefits for their employees. Dale is a chartered financial consultant, an underwriter of both health and life insurance, and a licensed health insurance consultant. He has a demonstrated exemplary work ethic geared toward client satisfaction.

Dale is a graduate of Ferris State University with a bachelors degree in Marketing and Sales. He also holds a masters degree from Michigan State University in Administration. Dale’s credentials include Chartered Life Underwriter CLU, Chartered Financial Consultant CHFC, Registered Health Underwriter RHU and Licensed Insurance Consultant LIC.

Dale previously owned Creative Benefit Systems and was an executive with Hylant. He also serves on the board of Potters House, the Salvation Army, the Spectrum Health Foundation, Ferris State University Foundation, the Carriage Association of America, and the Carriage Museum of America.

He enjoys walking the beaches of Florida with his wife of 50 years, Ellen. Dale also enjoys travel, tennis, horseback riding and carriage driving, woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He shares many of these activities with his beloved children and grandchildren.

Lisa Berg

Mrs. Lisa Berg has worked in the insurance industry for more than twenty-five years and holds both health and life insurance licenses from the State of Michigan. Lisa possesses a strong background in customer service and specializes in health and employee benefits knowledge. She has completed classes in LOMA (Life Office Management Association) and CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist), which supports her understanding of the insurance industry and has given her the tools and knowledge to assist businesses and individuals reach their goals. 

Lisa is a dedicated person whose knowledge and experience in group benefits is unparalleled in the industry. She has extensive experience in the compilation and structuring of group benefits that consistently exceeds client expectations.

Lisa enjoys spending time with her children and husband. She also enjoys hiking, working in the yard, and spending time at the beach.
